Muze Jazz Orchestra is a Belgian ensemble based in Heusden-Zolder, in the Limburg province, where it was born under the wings of the local cultural centre CC Muze. They present an impressive and genre-defying suite in 3 parts, especially written by young Belgian saxophonist/composer Lennert Baerts for this 12-piece band. Influences from just about anywhere, with serious grooves and intriguing harmonies. The album is the first part of a double release dedicated to the music of this fascinating and ambitious young musician.
